Rika Fujimoto (1991-, Japan)
Rika is a physical expressionist. Her activities are a wide range, including aerial straps, butoh, clowning, etc. She graduated from the School of P.E., Health & Sports Science University of Tsukuba in Japan. She was exposed to classical ballet and theater from an early age, and in University she belonged to the dance laboratory and studied contemporary dance. After graduating from university, she left Japan and after three months of wandering in the Middle East, she started working as a dancer in Turkey. After five years in Turkey, she learned Turkish and Russian, aerial silks, and pole dancing skills. As her former partner's assistant, she worked in circuses in several countries, and during the pandemic, she moved to London, UK. She currently performs with Brain Fools as a clown and aerial straps performer. At the same time, she is researching authentic physical movement.
